How do messages work?+
One message = one question and its answer. Long answers arrive as 2-3 texts and still count as one message. Your first 3 are free. After that, get the $15 pack (100 messages) or go unlimited for $7.99/mo. Text BALANCE anytime to check what's left.
Do first aid questions cost a message?+
No. Urgent first-aid questions (CPR, choking, severe bleeding, burns, stings, poisoning) are answered in full for free, for everyone, even at zero balance, up to a daily safety cap. They never count against your pack or subscription. In a life-threatening emergency, use 911 or your device's SOS first.
Do messages expire?+
The $15 pack is valid for 12 months. On the Always Ready plan there's nothing to count, it's unlimited while your subscription is active.
Can I top up when I'm already off-grid?+
Yes, if a card is saved in advance. Top-ups run over plain SMS: text BUY and we charge your saved card, no internet needed. No card on file + no signal = no way to pay, so set it up while you still have bars.
Which satellite networks work?+
Any phone that sends SMS, plus satellite messaging via Apple Messages via satellite (iPhone 14 and newer), Starlink Direct to Cell, T-Mobile satellite, ZOLEO, Globalstar, and SPOT. If it can text our number, it works.
What about privacy?+
We never sell your data, and old conversations auto-delete. We keep only what's needed to run your account. Note that SMS and satellite messaging are not end-to-end encrypted, so don't send anything you'd consider sensitive.
How does billing & cancellation work?+
Buy packs one-off, or subscribe monthly and cancel anytime. Text STOP to end everything. No lock-in, no cancellation fees.
What can I ask?+

How fast are replies?+
Usually under a minute over cell or Wi-Fi texting. Satellite messengers add their own hop time depending on sky view. The answer arrives as soon as your device syncs.
Do I need an app or account?+
No app, no signup. Your phone number is your account. Just text the number and you're in. Credits follow your number across any device that can reach us.
How does inviting a friend work?+
